ORLJ 5340: Basic Practicum in Conflict Resolution & Mediation
Graduate studies in conflict resolution are unique opportunities for those who want to build their own knowledge base and skills in resolving conflict. This course is the first of six in a series leading to a Certificate of Attendance in Conflict Resolution, and provides experience in developing basic collaborative negotiation and mediation skills for interpersonal conflict in a variety of contexts.

This is a course designed to address conflicts that typically take place in organizations.  It combines a theoretical foundation with application and skill practice through the exploration of theories about conflict organizational behavior, communication, power, systems and more.

This workshop presents a practical approach that uniquely integrates organizational development, alternative dispute resolution, and dispute system design principles into a working model to help assess conflict and evaluate processes within organizations.
