These thumbnail digital images reflect all the drawings that were done for this site of works featuring a male subject. Each is linked to a page displaying a larger digital image of the drawing thumbnailed above, accompanied by a brief text commenting on (1) the original work reflected, (2) its drawing for this site, or (3) both. Typically, though not always, that page will be shared with analogous text about, and digital image of, another work drawn for this site. Such pairs or "page pendants" will almost always be related, but not necessarily by being works of the same artist, or in the same medium, or even with the same subject. For example, the anonymous diorite statue of the Lagesh ruler Gudea (the last work thumbnailed above), is paired with the digital image of a drawing of a small silver antelope from southern Iran. The works reflected by the two are related by being both from the ancient Near East. Otherwise, they are rather different.
