MACY ART GALLERY
MACY ART GALLERY
The Macy Art Gallery is one of the last spaces at Teachers College still in its original use. The Gallery presents a wide range of exhibitions by national and international artists, graduate students, faculty members and alumni, as well as the finest examples of artworks by children of all ages. The year-round exhibition schedule reflects the commitment of Teachers College to cultural diversity in education and the visual arts.
Ashley Mask, Macy Art Gallery Fellow

WHY TALK ABOUT GENDER?
MARCH 24 + 25, 2016
The symposium is being hosted by the Art and Art Education program at Columbia University's Teachers College, and its speakers and panelists will include feminist scholars, artists, and art educators.
In conjunction with the symposium, the Macy Art Gallery in the Art and Art Education program will have two exhibitions on view, March 7 - 31, 2016:
In Conversation: A diverse group exhibition inspired by a series of studio interviews with NYC women artists, conducted by curator Stephanie Buhmann and Toeing the Line: Inspired by her Danish heritage, artist Line Bruntse offers humorous commentary on the intersection of women's handwork and architecture.
