"The program in Philosophy and Education at Teachers College embodies what it means to do philosophy. Extremely rare in its kind, it's a program that allows both emerging and distinguished scholars to seriously examine the countless questions relevant to both philosophy and education. A prominent aspect of the program is its colloquium series which creates the opportunity for students andprofessors from around the world to convene and exchange ideas of real weight and resonance in the fields of Philosophy and Education, all in an atmosphere of genuine intellectual sincerity. Issues are encountered here with a humanistic passion that is so collectively inspiring that one cannot help but to feel as if he or she is participating in something perennially significant. It's a wonder to me how anyone can truly actualize their full potential as a student, teacher, educator, researcher, etc., without passing through a program such as this."
