"My
time in the Philosophy and Education program at Teachers College was amazing,
and full of great satisfaction. On an intellectual level, I was able to freely
explore my interest in leadership, public discourse, and personal motivation.
My close study of Rousseau and Hannah Arendt (among others) allowed me to feel
a deeply personal connection with their texts. My studies were informed by the
program's commitment to academic rigor and intense discussion. On a personal
level, I made wonderful friends. I realize that graduate programs are often
evaluated by the caliber of the intellectual and authorial output of its
faculty and graduates; however, I believe that the truest evaluation of a
program is its ability to facilitate strong bonds of collegiality and
friendship among its graduates, for this is what endures over the course of a
career and lifetime."
