Welcome, and thank you for your interest in Applied Music lessons!
Applied Music lessons are available on any instrument at any level. Teachers College Applied Music lessons are offered for two credits only. To sign up for Applied Music lessons, please fill out a survey during the regular Teachers College registration period for each semester.
Registration for Applied Music lessons for the following semester is now open:
Fall 2015 (Sept 2 - Dec 21)
In order to register, you must first complete a survey. Surveys must be completed one day before add/drop of the corresponding term in order to be considered.
The Applied Lessons Fall 2015 survey can be found here:
After you submit the survey, you will be contacted by the Music Education program within four business days with information on how to register. Next, your instructor will then phone or email you to set up a lesson day, time and meeting place. Students receive 10 hours of lesson time per semester for 2 credits at Teachers College. Students and their instructor will decide how to divide the time (i.e., how long each lesson will last) and how often you will meet.
