How to Apply

Applying to the TESOL Certificate Program

Application Checklist

  • Completed application, including the personal essay
  • Current CV or resume
  • Official transcripts (A BA or equivalent is required to attend this program.)
  • Official copies of language proficiency test scores (non-native English speakers only)
  • $50 application fee

Completed applications should be saved as an attachment and emailed (along with a copy of your resume) directly to tesolcertprog@tc.columbia.edu. You may also mail printed copies of the application and your resume to the TESOL Certificate Program.

Transcripts

Official copies of your transcripts should be sent to the address below. We will accept unofficial copies of your transcripts attached to your application pending official versions.

Application Deadlines

Early application deadline: March 1st, 2015
Regular application deadline: April 1st, 2015
Final application deadline: May 1st, 2015

It will take up to three weeks to process the complete application.

Payment

  • $50 non-refundable application fee
  • $6,800 full tuition

If you are accepted, we require a $500 non-refundable deposit within two weeks of your date of acceptance.

We accept credit cards, as well as checks and money orders drawn on U.S. banks.
