Advocating for the Arts of the Future
Fall 2006

In the fall of 2006 the Program in Arts Administration in conjunction with the Harlem Arts Alliance and the Alliance of New York State Arts Organizations offered the special research apprenticeship course, "Advocating for the Arts of the Future," in order to train the next generation of arts advocates. Students interviewed and surveyed Harlem legislators, artists, and arts organizations over a four-month period. Results were presented to hundreds of Harlem community members and supporters at two Harlem Arts Alliance events.
