Program Costs

Doctoral students are required to complete 95 points of academic credit during three to four years of residence at Teachers College. In the 2010-201 academic year, tuition for all regular courses is $1,178 per point. This does not include basic medical insurance, health service fees or college fees, which combined costs approximately $3,788 per academic year.

Starting with the entering class of 2012-2013, all doctoral students who identify need will be fully funded for three years of tuition and a stipend. The full-funding is offered for a commitment to 20 hours per week of intensive commitment to training through research or teaching within the Clinical Psychology Program, beyond simply the course and clinical requirements of the doctoral degree. Full funding also comes with the provision that the doctoral student focus full time on research and academic work, without taking external employment. Some students are funded in part by grants held by their mentors.

Students wishing to focus on youth, might identify themselves for the Jody Lane Scholarship Fund founded in 2005.  Since 1993, the Clinical Psychology Program has granted scholarship via the James S. Scappaticcio Fellowship for Gay Men and Lesbian doctoral candidates in Clinical Psychology.
