B.S. in Childhood and Special Education with a concentration in International Studies, SUNY Geneseo; M.A. in Literacy from Hunter College. After graduation Kelli spent time traveling overseas and working with children in Australia. Upon returning to the states she taught 4th grade in Southern Florida, working with English Language Learners and supporting the school with their special education program. Kelli then moved to NY and began teaching in the South Bronx, where she was a differentiation leader and curriculum planner. Currently she is teaching at NEST+M, one of New York's Gifted and Talented schools, contributing to the development of the Literacy program and the creation of a community service program for elementary students. Kelli hopes to use her experiences in diverse educational settings to become a school leader in an urban setting where diversity is celebrated and service is honored.
