Billie Ladd

Billie Ladd retired as the Director of Pupil Services from the West Haven, CT Board of Education in 2002. Since that time she has been a literacy consultant working for Reading Excellence Act (REA) and then Reading First. She also works as an independent consultant and staff developer in special education and early literacy. Previously she was a principal for over twenty years in both elementary and middle schools. Billie received her 6th year degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Bridgeport and two MS degrees from Southern Connecticut State University – elementary education and special education. She received her BS from Bethany College. Billie has taught Leadership Perspectives in the 6th year Educational Leadership program at Southern Connecticut State University. She has mentored Educational Leadership students at Colombia University and Southern Connecticut State University.
