Madalene Potter is a retired DOE NYC principal. Since her retirement she has been teaching and mentoring Principals and Assistant Principals in NYC. She has taught courses in Literacy, Special Programs for the Schools, The Principalship-Leadership and Budgeting. These courses have been taught on and off site of various Universities and Colleges. She has been affiliated with SPA at Columbia University- Teacher’s College, Hunter College, New Visions, the DOE NYC, CSA, Turn Around for Children, Morningside Center for Social Responsibility, University of Arizona and Vanderbilt University. Her B.A. was in Child Study from St. Joseph’s College in Brooklyn and an M.S. in Elementary Education from Brooklyn College. She has an extra 30 credits in Reading. Her certificate in Administration and Supervision was earned from College of Staten Island.
