Clymer Bardsley

Clymer loves working in the dispute resolution field because he gets to both practice and teach. Currently, he is the Director of Divorce Done Right, a divorce mediation group with its headquarters in Philadelphia, PA. In that position he mediates matters including divorce, custody, and related family matters. He also coordinates the group’s marketing and administration and supports the other mediators with their cases. DDR has a presence in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Florida. As a teacher, Clymer works as part of the faculty of the International Center for Cooperation and Conflict Resolution at Columbia University’s Teachers College, where he teaches negotiation and mediation. Clymer got his start in dispute resolution while attending law school at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law under the tutelage of Professor Lela Love. Just prior to his current position at DDR, Clymer was the Training and Consulting Manager at the Good Shepherd Mediation Program, where he trained lawyers, other professionals, and community leaders in mediation and negotiation. Clymer coordinated trainings in conflict management and consulted with individuals and organizations throughout Philadelphia in matters concerning effective communication and dispute resolution. Clymer regularly mediates in Philadelphia Family Court, where he handles divorce and custody matters as well as dependency matters. He also serves as a mediator and EASE Settlement Envoy for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. In his younger years, Clymer was a prosecutor for the New York City Law Department, and before that, a History Teacher for eleven years.
