Carrie Dattilo

Carrie Dattilo, B.A. in English, Xavier University. Currently the Grade 8 Lead Teacher at Teacher’s Preparatory Academy in Brooklyn, Carrie studied in the Politics and Education Program at Teachers College. She taught 9th and 10th grade English at Mariemont High School in Cincinnati, OH. Between her teaching posts, Carrie traveled the country bringing poetry to life as a performer for Poetry Alive! As a performer for Poetry Alive! Carrie led teachers and students in workshops focusing on poetry performance. At both schools where she taught, Carrie has also been the advisor to the school drama clubs.
