B.A. in English, University of Wisconsin-Madison; M.A. Teachers of English, New York University; Ed.M. Education Leadership, Teachers College. After graduating from the Summer Principals Academy, Christopher took a position with the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project, a nationally recognized think-tank and staff development organization dealing with issues of literacy education and school-wide change. He consults with schools and districts across the country to raise the achievement of students from diverse backgrounds; teaches at national institutes; and is leading the organization's work in the Middle East with the Queen Rania Teacher Academy in Amman, Jordan. Christopher is the author of a professional book on middle school writers due out in the summer of 2009 through Heinemann, and has an article under review for NCTE's journal "Voices from the Middle" due out in September of 2010. His experiences with the Summer Principals Academy support his daily work with school and district leaders in supporting best practices.
