B.A. in Psychology, Howard University; M.A. in Special Education, Bank Street College. As a founding Teach For America Corps member, Kimberly began her career in education working as a special education teacher in New York City in 1990. Since then she has gained significant experience as an educator and leader and is currently teaching at The School at Columbia University. Kimberly was selected to be a mentor teacher for the Pace University Graduate Program, the Accelerated Mathematics Instructional Leader at her school in White Plains and the District’s Mathematics Lead Teacher. During her tenure as a 5th grade teacher she was the recipient of the Bell Atlantic/Westchester Education Coalition Grant for Computer-Literacy for Families. Additionally, Kimberly has worked as an educator in Barbados for a teacher exchange program.
