Mariela Graham
B.A. in History, B.A. in Public Policy Studies, Duke University; M.S. in Bilingual Elementary Education, City College of New York. After graduating from Duke University in 2002, Mariela joined the New York City Teaching Fellows Program and committed herself to teaching two years in one of the city’s underprivileged communities. Currently she is the 6th Grade Social Studies and Math teacher at I.S. 528, Bea Fuller Rodgers School. In addition to her position at I.S. 528, Mariela is also retained by Teach For America as a 6th Grade Content Specialist where she provides resources and support for first year Teach For America teachers. Mariela is a frequent traveler including a service mission to Bucharest, study abroad in Spain, research in Nagoya, Japan, frequent family visits to Peru and most recently an April honeymoon to Costa Rica.
