B.S. in Foreign Service, Georgetown University. Alexander spent two years working as a financial analyst for the emerging markets group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York following his undergraduate work at Georgetown University. In June 2000 he was admitted to Teach For America (TFA), which placed him as a teacher in an under-resourced elementary school in Paterson, New Jersey. Four years after his commitment to TFA ended, Alex continues to teach math and language arts in the same school.
