B.A. in History, University of Illinois; Master of Public Policy and Administration with a concentration in Educational Policy (candidate), Columbia University, School of International and Public Affairs. Angelina comes to Teachers College with more than 15 years teaching experience. Presently she works at the Institute for Collaborative Education (ICE) as a humanities teacher. While at ICE, Angelina co-established a mentoring program for new teachers as well as a peer-mentoring program for students. Prior to ICE, she spent eight years in the history department at Riverdale Country School in the Bronx. While at Riverdale, Angelina served as the Diversity Director and Chair of the Faculty Diversity Committee, where she addressed diversity at all levels of the institution, including: curriculum development, faculty recruitment and retention, and student and parent advocacy. Her work in that capacity led to several long-term policy initiatives that improved diversity at Riverdale.
Imani is now working in the Humanities Department Chair at the Institute of Collaborative Education.
