Luz Maria Rojas
B.A. in History, Boston College; M.S. Ed. in Childhood Education, Hunter College. Luz joins the Summer Principals Academy with an impressive list of bilingual teaching experiences. As the lead teacher of the ESL program at I.S. 52M in New York City , Luz is a staple at/of the intermediate school where she has played an active role for the past six years. A bilingual teacher of both math and social studies, Luz is also a crucial member of the School Leadership Team, the Language Allocation Policy Team and the Comprehensive Educational Plan Committee. Prior to becoming a teacher, Luz utilized her bilingual skills as an assistant media planner at McCann-Erickson.
