Jamie Sporn (Director)
Jamie Sporn grew up dancing in Queens, NY. She holds a B.S. in Dance and Theatre from Skidmore College, and a M.A. in Dance and Dance Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Jamie began her teaching career under the tutelage of Toni Smith at the National Museum of Dance. Since then she is honored to have performed in countless theatrical and site–specific venues throughout NY and NJ for over a decade. Prior to joining the teaching staff of Ramapo High School in Franklin Lakes, NJ in 2003, Jamie was a teaching artist for the New York City Ballet. She enjoys collaborating locally with the Bergen DanceMakers, and loves watching children create art as the director of Action Arts Summer Camp in NYC. Jamie’s favorite color is midnight blue. She loves eating chocolate and making up goofy dances with her daughters (not at the same time).
