Take a breath!

Mindfulness meditation is a mind-­body practice that involves focusing your mind on the present, to be aware of your thoughts and actions without judgment. Research has shown that the practice of mindfulness can have many benefits, including enhancing clarity, concentration, mood, sleep, and immune function, in addition to reducing stress.

Lead by Daniel Caffarel, current graduate student in the Psychological Counseling masters program and a member of TC's Mindfulness and Education Working Group (MEWG) will lead a mindfulness meditation session.  An active duty Army officer and an intern at the Center of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Daniel has been exploring the possibility of applying meditation in dealing with stress. He invites everyone to take a breath with him.

After meditation, enjoy a Jazz brunch and other activities in the TC Russell Courtyard.
