Thank you for being a part of GlobalTCDay!

We are delighted that so many of the TC Community came together to celebrate TC's 125th Anniversary all around the world!

We'd like to give special thanks to our #GlobalTCDay Hosts who not only planned exciting events for our local alumni but also backed the event financially by opening the doors to their work places or even their homes to accommodate our alumni attendees. Thank you for your help and support!

Global TC Day: July 25, 2013

Celebrate with us in your own backyard!

Register Today!
As Teachers College celebrates its 125th Anniversary the Office of Alumni Relations is preparing to celebrate this milestone worldwide! This is an exceptional opportunity for us to reconnect with alumni around the globe and for you to connect with alumni living and working near you. Join us in this celebration by taking part in one of the many events whether you are in the United States or located Internationally. Find a location near you and register today!

PrintClickShare (PCS) Meet Ups
In addition to areas with planned events, we have created opportunities around the globe for PrintClickShare meet-ups. These meeting point locations will be denoted with “PCS”. We want you to print one of the already created signs (or get creative and make your own), take a picture at the suggested location (click!) and share your photo with the TC Community by using #GlobalTCDay and #TC125.  Our hope is that you will find fellow alumni at these meeting points, ready to PrintClickShare with the world. Can’t make it to any of our events or PCS meeting points? No problem. We still want to know what you’re doing wherever you may be. Just print, click and share your photos with us! We want to know about your Global TC Day events!

Share Your Celebration with Us

Join the conversation online using #GlobalTCDay. Live-Tweet your get together, post pictures on our Facebook page, add pictures to Instagram and be sure to use #GlobalTCDay, #TC125 and don’t forget to mention @TeachersCollege.

Also be sure to share your pictures or interesting stories with us for possible inclusion in the commemorative 125th Anniversary Alumni Directory, online, on social media and TC Today magazine. If you are sending in hard copies of your pictures - please do not write on them! Send a separate sheet with the names (and class years if possible) of those in the photo. Otherwise, email us the details of your event at tcalumni@tc.edu. We also encourage you to share your TC memories with us at www.tc.edu/125/memories.

Our goal is to flood our website and social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and even LinkedIn) with posts, videos and pictures from your celebrations creating a viral and lasting worldwide event!

Flat (John) Dewey and Flat (Grace) Dodge

In an effort to connect with our alumni worldwide and in homage to two of the most influential members of the TC Community, we are introducing Flat (Grace) Dodge and Flat (John) Dewey.  Print, decorate and cut out Flat Dodge and/or Flat Dewey and take them with you as you celebrate Global TC Day, as you travel the world and, of course, when you network with fellow TC Alumni. We want to see your pictures so be sure to share your adventures with us!

The top pictures will be selected and published in one or several of our upcoming alumni publications, including TC Today and the 125th recap section of our upcoming Commemorative 125th Anniversary Alumni Directory. So don't be shy- it's time to get creative!

Flat Dodge and Flat Dewey

Many of us have heard about or have participated in the wildly successful and popular Flat Stanley Project. Flat Stanley connects children of all ages from around the globe and encourages, strengthens and promotes literacy.

In an effort to connect with our alumni worldwide and in homage to two of the most influential members of the TC Community, we are introducing Flat (Grace) Dodge and Flat (John) Dewey.  Grace Dodge was a co-founder and principal benefactor of Teachers College during its early years, who viewed education as the principal means to create better families, better communities and a better world. John Dewey was not only an influential proponent of the progressive education movement; he was a member of the faculty here at Teachers College for almost 30 years. As we are celebrating our 125th Anniversary we'd like to deploy Flat Dewey to help us connect for Global TC Day.

Print, decorate and cut out Flat Dodge and/or Flat Dewey and take them with you as you celebrate Global TC Day, as you travel the world and, of course, when you network with fellow TC Alumni.

We want to see your pictures so be sure to share your adventures with us!
