- A Banner Year Continues

First it was the bus shelters, now it's the streets. The first in an ongoing series of banners celebrating the College's many academic strengths and the power of its alumni have gone up along Broadway, between 110th and 114th Streets and again between 118th and 120th Streets, and on 120th between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue.

At the New York Historical Society, history comes alive as modern-day Dodges and others take to the stage When TC founder Grace Dodge asked George Vanderbilt to support TC's first library, the scion of the railroad and shipping dynasty urged her to instead "find the brains to develop the work, place it on a strong footing and teach people how to use the school's library."

In his keynote address at the New York Historical Society on opening night event for the exhibit "Teachers College: Pioneering Education through Innovation Pioneering Education," Kenneth T.
