Classroom Technology

In order to best support the college, 68 classrooms and lecture halls have permanently installed multi-media equipment consoles with projector or flat panel displays, Smart/Starlink Boards, and mobile projection carts.

All our media console, mobile cart, and Smart Board/Starlink systems are equipped with a dual-boot Mac Mini (Mac OS10.9 and MS Win7); all these rooms have either a 30w, 75w, or 100w sound systems with physical connections for user's laptop to the main display.
All of our classroom installations utilize wireless RF Keyboards.

Some of our classrooms still have DVD/VHS combos installed but by the end of 2015 most of these combo units will be eliminated. Others classrooms have Wacom Tablets, Touch Panel LCD screens, Document Cameras, Video conferencing and Lecture capturing capabilities pre-installed.

For classrooms or spaces without permanently fixed equipment we can provide mobile carts equipped with an LCD projector, a PC, and 30w Sound System.

If you have not used a particular type of classroom setup before, please call Media Services at x3822 or email mediaservices@tc.edu or use the Media Manager Request Form so we can orient you in advance of your class.
