Immunization Requirements

The Office of Insurance and Immunization Records is responsible for ensuring that all TC students comply with New York State law, which requires that all students born on or after January 1, 1957 provide proof of immunity to measles (rubeola), mumps, and rubella.

Immunity can be established by showing proof of two doses of live measles vaccine, one of live mumps vaccine, and one of live rubella vaccine, all given on or after your first birthday. Results of blood tests which prove immunity to each of these diseases may also be submitted. A physician's diagnosis of the disease may be submitted as proof of immunity for measles and mumps only.

Please bring English translations of your medical records which show immunity to the above.

Meningitis Information. Students are also required to submit evidence that they have received immunization for Meningitis or sign a waiver acknowledging aware of the risks of Meningitis.

Immunization policy and records are maintained by the Office of Insurance and Immunization Records. Please go to their web site for more detailed information regarding immunization requirements. Note: students who do not submit all required information regarding MMR and Meningitis immunity may be prevented from registering for future semesters. No immigration benefits can be issued in the event that a MMR / Meningitis 'hold' has been placed on your student record.
