Welcome to Teachers College, Columbia University! If you are a new student entering the TC for the first time, you are able to submit a photo online for your first University ID card. In order to do so, you will need to have activated your UNI (unique network identification, which is the prefix of your Coulmbia eamil address). Submitting your photo prior to arriving on campus allows for the preprinting of your University ID Card which enables you to pick up your card anytime four weeks prior to the semester starts. Please take a moment to review the requirements for submitting your photo.
University ID Card Photo Requirements
The photo should be passport-style and meet the following requirements:
· The photo should be a color, JPEG file
· The background should be uniform and light-colored
· You must be facing forward, with your head and shoulders clearly visible
· No photos with sunglasses or hats will be accepted
· The file cannot exceed 100k in size
If you need to resize your photo before submitting, you may do so by using any one of the following applications.
· Desktop: Picasa, Photoshop, Microsoft Picture Manager (PC only) and IPhoto (Mac only)
· Online: Web Resizer
· Facebook: You may also upload a photo to Facebook or My Space, resize it and then export it to your desktop.
If you have activated your UNI, and are ready to submit your photo, click on the TC University Card below to begin the upload. When prompted for your UNI, the program is case sensitive and must be entered in lower case.
If you have not activated your UNI, you may click on the computer icon below. Please note, once you activate your UNI, all official College email will be sent to your Columbia email address.
