Hurricane Sandy hit us hard and left a devastating wake for many in our community. In times like this, we often see leaders rise to the call of duty, and we are proud to share this story of leadership and hope about the President of Kingsborough Community College and TC alumna, Regina Peruggi (EdD '91) and two other TC alumni in KCC’s administration, David Gomez (EdD '82) Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Loretta DiLorenzo (EdD '94) Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, who are actively helping their students and the KCC family.

In Sandy's Aftermath, TC Partners with Kingsborough Community College to Help Students Stay on Course

In the wake of an epic storm, KCC President and TC alumna Regina Peruggi has faced her toughest days on the job. One bright spot: TC is recruiting qualified members of its community to provide tutoring help to KCC students who have lost time in class.

The TC Community is also coming together to lend a hand through these other initiatives. Please read more about all of the opportunities to get involved.

Reading, Writing and Relief

The TC Reading and Writing Project works in schools across the city. Now it's helping many of them to get back on their feet after Hurricane Sandy.
