Job Description:
EdLab is a research, design, and development unit at the Gottesman Libraries that engages in work that contributes to the improvement of educational institutions. Graduate Assistants work alongside other EdLab staff on new and ongoing projects, and participate in many of EdLab’s innovative development activities.
Possible areas of focus include:
- Developing software applications. Maintaining and improving existing systems and software. Performing research, testing, and evaluation of potential new systems and software.
- Supporting consulting projects. Addressing the challenges of managing structural change and facilitating organizational innovation in education. Creating high intensity planning events that unleash creativity and accelerate change.
- Producing audio and video media about the future of education, including script writing, capturing, editing, publishing, and project outreach.
- Working on existing print and web publications, such as the Teachers College Record, and proposing and developing new publishing projects collaboratively and with the guidance of an experienced publishing group.
- Designing print and web-based products that enrich a variety of educational exhibitions. Supporting a variety of innovative projects through collaborative research and design processes.

Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have experience in educational research and development, as well as an interest in emerging educational technologies
- Strong skills in relevant software and technology
- Ability to work independently
- Creative, proactive, and responsible
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
