Local Organizations Serving International Students
One To World (Metro International). One To World (Metro International) is a local non-profit organization that offers an array of educational, cultural, and social programs for international students in the New York City area. Metro hosts holiday and community visits, organizes social outings and special events, and runs the Global Classroom program, in which international students go into New York City classrooms to make presentations about their countries. TC students have actively participated in One To World's many programs.
International House. Located just blocks away from the Teachers College campus, "I-House" is a residential community with students from over 100 countries around the world, making it the most culturally diverse student community located in the most culturally diverse city in the world. I-House also offers an outstanding program of educational, cultural and social activities, ranging from dance lessons, movie nights, and more!
