Event Details: NCATE Site Visit
Description:
On March 3-5, 2013, Teachers College is hosting a continuing accreditation site visit by the National Council for Accreditation of Teachers Education (NCATE). The members of the accreditation team will review documentation for TC’s teacher and other school professional education programs and interview students, alumni, faculty, staff, and administration.
NCATE is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, founded in 1954. The NCATE accreditation process establishes rigorous standards for teacher education programs and holds accredited institutions accountable for meeting these standards. NCATE currently accredits 670 colleges of education.
