The office of Room Assignments coordinates with Teachers College (TC) Academic departments and the TC community public room locations for courses, workshops, conferences and events throughout the College. 

  • Rooms for TC Academic Courses
    • Rooms for academic courses are assigned approximately one month before the start of the semester.
    • Academic class rooms are requested through the Academic Department's Director of Academic Administration (DAA).  The DAA completes the departmental 'RAPO' for each course.
    • The RAPOs outlines specific room attributes for each scheduled class.
    • Rooms are assigned by projected enrollments, required room attributes, and other special pre-assignment requirements.  
    • Due to space limitations, rooms for non-academic classes/events are not assigned until after rooms have been finalized for academic courses.   
    • Once academic courses are assigned, non-academic class/event room requests are processed.
  • Rooms for TC Workshops, Conferences and Events:
    • Rooms for Teachers College workshops, conferences and events are assigned after academic class rooms are assigned each semester.  However, annual TC events are entered into the room assignment system throughout the year.
    • Non-academic/event room requests are submitted on the 'Request a Room' form.
    • Due to space limitations non-academic classes/events are ONLY assigned to events sponsored by Teachers College official departments.
    • Once academic courses are assigned, all Teachers College non-academic/event room requests are processed on a "first-come - first serve" basis.
  • Room Assignment Office Hours::
    • Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. -6:00 p.m. Friday, 9:00a.m. - 5:00p.m. (Summer hours: June-August, Fridays 9:00a.m. - 3:00p.m.)
