We ensure that all TC students are in compliance with New York State's immunization laws. We manage the enrollment process for both of the Health Service Program and the Columbia Student Medical Insurance Plans. Lastly, we provide general information and administrative support for both of these services.
The Graduate Writing Center (GWC) is a professional development consultancy for academic writing, which employs experienced scholarly writers and teachers of writing from a variety of disciplines. The GWC offers one-on-one consultations in scholarly writing for native and non-native speakers of English in all stages of the writing process.

The New Student Experience Orientation Program is one of several orientation events coordinated by the Office of Student Activities and Programs designed to complement the new student experience. Orientation programs take place in the fall and spring semesters for all new students. For a complete schedule of events for orientation, please refer to our website: www.tc.edu/nse.
For a nominal fee, students, staff, and community members can rent out a locker to store their books and belongings. Locker rentals are good for an 11-month period from September through the end of July. Students that are requesting a locker for only a semester may do so on a pro-rated basis. OSAP supplies the locks and distributes the combination to the student upon payment.

Description: Join President Obama’s call to serve the community!
The 2009 AmeriCorps Community Internship Project at Teachers College is now recruiting graduate students to serve as funded volunteers in public schools and community-based organizations addressing the educational needs of low-income communities.

• Different types of volunteer placements are available through the
o Peace Corps Fellows Program,
o Office of Teacher Education,
o Institute for Urban and Minority Education (IUME),
o Elbenwood Center for the Study of Family as Educator.
• Possible volunteer activities include
o providing classroom-based academic support,
o facilitating an after-school college-readiness program for underprivileged youth,
o assisting local community-based organizations in their education initiatives.

• In addition to gaining experience and skills, volunteers in these positions will be given AmeriCorps membership, receiving a small stipend, an educational award, and reimbursement for transportation.
There are two levels of commitment and corresponding funding packages:
• For 300 hours of service: $2700
• For 675 hours of service: $5600
These are one-year positions starting throughout summer 2009 and continuing through May 2010.
