We ensure that all TC students are in compliance with New York State's immunization laws. We manage the enrollment process for both of the Health Service Program and the Columbia Student Medical Insurance Plans. Lastly, we provide general information and administrative support for both of these services.

The Graduate Writing Center (GWC) is a professional development consultancy for academic writing, which employs experienced scholarly writers and teachers of writing from a variety of disciplines. The GWC offers one-on-one consultations in scholarly writing for native and non-native speakers of English in all stages of the writing process.

Event Details: Meditation Retreat organized by Columbia University Buddhist Association

Description: The retreat is meant for both beginners and advanced and we will do several different kinds of meditation, such as sitting meditation, walking and running meditation, and going out into the wilderness and practicing mindfulness in nature! The teacher also discusses how to meditate while eating, doing chores, and even gives postures for how to sleep in a restful position!

Our retreat leader will be Chang Wen Fashi, he is a Native New Yorker and he is really great! He is very clear with his explanations of the techniques, he is young and he understands what it is like for stressed students. The price is $45 not including transportation costs. You will have your own room and they provide three delicious meals a day. The area of the retreat is beautiful and it is a great escape from the stresses of school. There is no talking at all during the weekend which is an adventure in itself!

We will be leaving as a group on Friday, November 6th in the early afternoon and travel to the Retreat Center. We will return Sunday, November 8th in the evening.
The deadline for registration is November 2nd and you can meet Chang Wen Fashi the retreat leader at our special meeting on Wednesday October 28th.

If you have any questions, please contact us at cubuddhistassociation@gmail.com
