Description: Monday, March 24, 2014 5:00 -6:30 PM Reception and post-screening discussion following 177/179 Grace Dodge Please join us for the screening of Jenifer McShane`s documentary, Mothers of Bedford, as part of the Teachers College portion of the Women`s History Month Events at Columbia University. In reference to the Women`s History Month theme: "What does it mean to be a woman?: The multiple identities and intersections of women," Mothers of Bedford follows five mothers over four years at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women, a maximum security prison north of New York City. The film will be followed by a reception and post-screening discussion featuring panelist speakers: Aurelie Athan PhD, Lecturer in TC`s Clinical & Counseling Psychology Department and Founder of the Maternal Psychology Laboratory Mary W.
