Notice of Nondiscriminatory Policy as to Students and Employees
Pursuant to Revenue Procedure 75-50 dated December 8, 1975, and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 ("Title IX") and part 86 of the Health and Human Services regulations promulgated to effectuate Title IX, Teachers College hereby gives notice of its nondiscriminatory policy as to students and employees:
Continuing its long-standing policy to support actively equality for all persons, Teachers College does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, citizenship status, veteran status, disability or any other criterion specified by federal, state or local laws, in the administration of its admission, employment and educational policies or scholarship, loan, athletic and other school-administered programs. Rather, Teachers College affirms that it admits students and selects employees regardless of their race, color, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, citizenship status, veteran status, disability or any other criterion specified by federal, state or local laws and thereafter accords them all the rights and privileges generally made available to students or employees at the school.
Inquiries regarding the application of Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, as amended, and regulations thereunder, to any policy, program or other activity of the College should be directed to the Director of the Office of Human Resources, who serves as the College's Equal Opportunity Officer.
