Alumni Association
TC alumni are represented officially by the Alumni Association's Council, an advisory body of 35 members elected to serve three-year terms. They represent the diverse interests and needs of the graduates and other attendees of the College. If you are interested in becoming a council member or know someone who would be an asset to the council, submit a nomination form here. Nominations are taken year-round, though they are not reviewed until the beginning of the year for appointments in May.Below you'll find a slideshow of our Alumni Council in action!
Alumni Association Committees
The Alumni Association provides alumni the opportunity to help shape the programs and resources provided to TC alumni through several Alumni Committees chaired by members of the Alumni Council.- Alumni Awards & Recognition Committee
Diana Newman & Mitchell Thompson, Co-chairs
The Awards & Recognition Committee recommends ways to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of alumni; recommends recipients of recognition; and, specifically, recommends candidates for the Distinguished Alumni and Early Career Awards.
- Alumni Council Nominations Committee
Susan Diamond & Patrick McGuire, Co-chairs
The Nominating Committee actively solicits nominations and selects candidates for membership on the council, with consideration of demographics, diversity, and the needs of the committees. In addition, the committee is involved with the plans and implementation of an orientation program for new members.
- Alumni Programs & Resources Committee
Peter Dillon & Jeff Putman, Co-chairs
The Alumni Programs & Resources Committee actively assesses and brainstorms activities and resources that alumni would benefit from. Members then work, with the support of other committee members, ad hoc council members, and in collaboration with the Office of Alumni Relations, and academic and administrative departments across campus to plan lectures, socials and other activities attractive to alumni.
- International Outreach Committee
Marion Boultbee & Fred Brodzinski, Co-chairs
The International Outreach Committee recruits alumni outside the U.S. to serve as Country Representatives for the International Alumni Network, and supports them in organizing locally attractive alumni activities. The committee also promotes events for current international students, to encourage them to stay connected to TC after they have returned to their home countries. The committee works with the Offices of Alumni Relations and International Student Services.
