Author, Author: MacArthur Award-winning teacher and author Vivian Paley speaks in Milbank Chapel to members of the Universal Preschool Programs of Region 10 on May 13. This outreach project, funded by TC's Hollingworth Center and building on the work of the Hollingworth Preschool, offers staff development workshops to over 180 early childhood teachers, social workers and assistants each year. Paley is the only kindergarten teacher to ever receive a MacArthur "genius" grant. In addition to teaching for 37 years, she has written more than 10 books about life in the classroom.
