Education & Class in Harlem: A Historic Overview of the Modern School

‌The program in History & Education is hosting a day-long event focused on the history of The Modern School, an independent school with progressive pedagogical commitments that operated in Harlem's Sugar Hill for over 50 years.

Please join us for a panel discussion from 9-11am on the Modern School, with alumni (including doctoral student Deidre Flowers), the founder's daughter, and University of California, Berkeley, scholar Dan Perlstein.
