"Beyond the brain: interactions between drugs and environmental factors"
Associate Professor of Psychology in the Departments of Psychiatry and Psychology at Columbia University, and Director of the Residential Studies and Methamphetamine Research Laboratories at the New York State Psychiatric Institute.
Dr. Hart's research aims to understand complex interactions between drugs of abuse and the neurobiology and environmental factors that mediate human behavior and physiology. Potential applicability of his work include the development of new theories about the neurochemical basis of several human behaviors, informing public policy about the benefits and risks of drug use, and guiding the development of medications for drug abuse.
