Professional and Clinical Training

Programs leading to the M.S., Ed.D., and Ph.D. degrees in Speech-Language Pathology prepare graduates for positions in a variety of professional settings: school systems, community speech and hearing centers, rehabilitation centers, hospital clinics, private practice, state departments of education, health departments, federal agencies, and colleges and universities.

Feature 2

Edward D. Mysak Clinic for Communication Disorders

The Edward D. Mysak Clinic for Communication Disorders is an integral part of the graduate training program in speech and language pathology at Teachers College.  The Clinic offers a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services to individuals of all ages with communication disorders.

Services are provided by program faculty and supervisory staff who hold national and state certification in their respective areas. Qualified graduate students provide or assist in the provision of these services under the direct supervision of the faculty and staff.

International Programs

The Speech and Language Pathology program at Teachers College offers three international programs that offer students the opportunity to gain international experience as part of degree and certificate programs.

The Bolivia and Ghana programs are led by Dr. Crowley. The Cambodia program is led by Dr. Froud.

Research Facilities

The Speech and Language Pathology Program at Teaches College is home to four laboratories that utilize functional imaging and other methodologies to study typical and disordered production and perception of speech and language as well as swallowing disorders.
