Gottesman Library + Pocket Knowledge
The Gottesman Library at Teachers College is an excellent resource for students researching topics related to Africa and the African Diaspora. In particular, the electronic archive, Pocket Knowledge, provides searchable tags and creates clusters of related content, making the research process incredibly easy. The library staff hopes to have every TC dissertation and sponsored project digitized in the near future.
Serah Shani, a doctoral candidate in Anthropology and Eduation/ITS, has worked closely on the digitization of several TC-sponsored projects, dissertations and resources on Africa. Serah was instrumental in organizing the content and pushing forward a lot of documentation for the Teachers for East Africa and Teachers Education in East Africa projects (among other papers).

The Center for African Education has also been building a rewarding relationship with the Libary as a Co-Sponsor for many of our events. In the future many of our Book Breakfasts and Featured Lectures will be hosted in the Library and we thank them for their support!
