The Cahn Fellows Program for Distinguished Principals at Teachers College, Columbia University, a unique leadership recognition program for outstanding principals, is seeking nominations for the upcoming cohort. Fellows will participate in a two-week Summer Leadership Institute, attend study groups to work on an individual school project with other principals in the program and mentor an aspiring principal from within his or her building.
We are currently serving principals in New York, Chicago and Charlotte-Mecklenburg, but plan to explan nationwide in the near future.
The nominee should (1) be an outstanding public school leader who has completed at least three years as a principal at the time of application, (2) have a strong desire for professional and intellectual growth, (3) be willing to mentor an aspiring principal from within his or her school for one year, and (4) remain in the field of education for at least 2 to 3 years following the Fellowship.
Closing dates for nominations and applications for each cohort will be posted on the homepage.
