Colleen Ducey has been the principal of P.S. 326 in Brooklyn, NY since 2000. Her philosophy emphasizes working collaboratively with her staff and parent community to ensure the academic and social success of each student. Colleen continually strives for excellence and her leadership is breaking new ground in early childhood education with its innovative approaches to teaching and assessment. Colleen's strong beliefs and values empower her staff to "go that extra mile" to make P.S. 326 a very nurturing school. She believes in teamwork and her leadership ensures that each of her ethnically diverse students are valued and that high expectations are conveyed to staff, students and parents. Colleen achieved an advanced certificate in School/District Administration and Supervision in 2000. She is a seasoned and passionate educator with a masters degree in Reading Disabilities and an ancillary certificate in TESOL. Colleen has also been trained as a Reading Recovery teacher and received an Advanced Certificate from New York University.
