Following the very successful forum that the Campaign for Educational Equity held with state officials at Teachers College last fall, we are co-hosting - along with the Broader, Bolder Approach to Education - a forum with New York City officials. This event will examine how we can implement a full range of comprehensive services - considering issues such as early childhood, health, after school extended day programs, summer programming, and family engagement - in a large-scale, cost-effective manner throughout New York City schools. Shael Suransky, the Deputy Chancellor of the New York City Department of Education, Pedro Noguera from NYU, Michael A. Rebell from Teachers College and Scott Stringer, Manhattan Borough President, will take part in the panel discussion.
