David Chidsey is a classical guitarist and music teacher residing in Manhattan, NY. David teaches guitar and chamber music at Monticello High School in NY state and is a graduate assistant guitar instructor at Teachers College, Columbia University. David has taught a Jazz Studies course at Columbia University and taught guitar at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. David's degrees come from the Lawrence Conservatory, UW-Madison and Teachers College, Columbia University. David's repertoire ranges from classical arrangements, Spanish and South American music to jazz and chamber music.
The Everett Cafe proudly sponsors 1-hour musical performances by musicians, solo through to quintets, from the Teachers College community. Whether eclectic blues, Latin jazz, traditional folk, or classical with a gypsy twist, there is variety and talent to be enjoyed as you sip your Starbucks; mingle with friends and colleagues; peruse bestsellers and news; or simply study.
