Live Music: David Gordon (Contemporary Duet)

David Gordon is a pianist, guitarist, vocalist, composer, and music educator. began his music career at the age of 8 playing the violin, at 12 he began to play the drums and guitar, and by the time he was in high school had added the piano and organ to his array of instruments. During the late 60's, he played the drums and keyboards, as well as vocals, with the pop group: The Blades of Grass. He appeared on several television shows such as Shindig, The Joe Franklin Show, and toured with Neil Diamond, The Doors, The Dave Clark Five, as well as performing backup work for Van Morrison and the Fifth Dimension.
David has performed his original songs on various television shows, New York City cabarets and night clubs, the Jewish Renaissance Festival, and college campuses. The release of David’s album, The 21st Century, is an exhibition of his work as instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter. The David Gordon Trio and The Mint Condition Band continue to perform at clubs and college concerts.
The Everett Cafe proudly sponsors 1-hour musical performances by musicians, solo through to quintets, from the Teachers College community. Whether eclectic blues, Latin jazz, traditional folk, or classical with a gypsy twist, there is variety and talent to be enjoyed as you sip your Starbucks; mingle with friends and colleagues; peruse bestsellers and news; or simply study.
