News Display: UN Charter Is Signed

June 26, 1945 marks the signing in San Francisco of the United Nations Charter, a peace keeping agreement among forty-five nations to save future generations from the scourge of war; reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights; establish conditions for justice and respect; and promote social progress and standards.

The display will feature news about the historic signing the United Nations Charter and its impact on global initiatives and world peace. Further details on the history of the charter can be read here.

The Everett Cafe features educational news displays on a wide range of topics, in addition to daily postings of headlines from around the world.
