Alumni of the Windy City, get ready: TC is blowing into town!
This October, we are proud to launch TC’s new Faculty on the Road series in Chicago with a lively discussion featuring Ernest Morrell, Professor of English Education and Director of the Institute for Urban and Minority Education (IUME). Dr. Morrell’s expertise in urban and minority education will resonate with Chicago alumni, who are living and working in America’s third-largest urban school district.
Faculty on the Road with Ernest Morrell
Location: Chicago Firehouse

As director of IUME, Dr. Morrell spearheads an institution devoted to literacy, educational access, and educational justice, with a particular focus on those groups historically underrepresented. Currently both a scholar and faculty member, Dr. Morrell will provide a unique perspective on the intersection of research and practice in the field of urban and minority education.
If you would like to learn more about IUME and Ernest Morrell, you can follow the Institute’s important work here, and by connecting with IUME on Twitter and Facebook.
This exciting launch of the Faculty on the Road series will be an intimate gathering that will highlight the importance of improving urban schools for the future of American education. We invite our Chicago-area alumni to come hear about the great impact TC continues to make on the wider world and the many reasons we have to be proud of our TC community.
