April 5, 2012 - International Week Student & Alumni Taiwanese Night Market
Join the Office of International Student Services (OISS) in celebrating TC's international and cultural diversity during International Week 2012 (April 2-6). International Week brings together individuals, cultural groups, and student associations to present the TC community with a week-long series of social and cultural events including film screenings, music and craft demonstrations, food tables, language and calligraphy lessons, a night market and more. Originally, the Taiwanese markets were temporary and would offer not only daily necessities but foods, entertainment, medicines, adornments, and anything else that attracts customers and satisfy their needs. The festive, boisterous markets became popular places to socialize and relax, and they eventually gave rise to the permanent markets that exist today. Join us as we celebrate the sights and sounds of this market experience.
Hosted By: OISS, Alumni Association's International Outreach Committee and the Office of Alumni Relations and Teachers College Taiwanese Club (TCTC)
